Now for the good news: I will continue to work in psychiatry for at least the rest of 2006, assuming the contract is signed, which is all but done. This will be on a free lance basis, but it still means more work and money, which is always a good sign. Just think, three years ago in August I did not know if and how I could survive financially over here, and now I have more work than time to do it! Just wanted to share this with you.

FYI. I went to a German Restraunt last night.
The website doesn't look very German. Actually, "Schnitzel" means "cutlet," and "Wiener" means "Viennese", so it is a cutlet prepared in the style of Vienna, usually veal breaded and then fried quickly in the pan - the idea originally came from Italy, but the Austrians gave it the name that became famous

Chris, an interesting story about the "elephant woman" in Munich. That is considered "Erregung öffentlichen Ärgernisses" in English "creating public disturbance - when they have to look at something they don't want to see." At a lake or park people expect to see that, but in a fountain in the middle of the city they don't expect nor want to see that. And, it is forbidden to bathe in public fountains.
Apparently they need more public baths?
